WHAT WE DO

The Council’s role is to represent the interests of the residents of Chipping.  We are trying to do what is best for the wellbeing of local people and for the quality of the environment in which we all live.  All our meetings are

conducted in a non-party political way.

Although the Parish Council has limited powers, we take an active

interest in all matters that affect village life.  In particular:

·                 planning and development matters (for which we can make recommendations to the Borough Council, who is the planning authority)

·                 environmental issues such as litter collection, street lighting, dog fouling, grass cutting, pot holes and drainage problems

·                 the war memorial

·                 the playing fields

·                 the bus shelter

·                 roadside seats

·                 public transport and parking

·                 footpaths
