Brabin’s Endowed Primary School
recognises its historic foundation in 1684. The School preserves and develops its religious character and association with the Church of England that has continued since its foundation. It works in partnership with the Churches in the community.
The School is concerned with the development of all its pupils. It strives to ensure that all children achieve their potential, morally, spiritually, culturally, intellectually and physically.
A team of enthusiastic staff, parents and governors supports the School, which is an effective learning environment.
In recent months the School has been awarded the Quality Mark for the teaching of Basic Skills (Literacy and Numeracy).
Brabin’s  School attaches high priority to forging strong links between home and school. It works closely and effectively with the community, which it serves well.

The School identifies with its rural surroundings. In June 2000 it was awarded full status as an Eco School. The school prides itself on its ecological and environmental work. Much work has been undertaken by the children to develop the school field. This has been achieved by raising funds through successfully entering eco-competitions

The Friends of Brabin’s make an important contribution by raising funds which go towards a range of projects.
At present they are working towards refurbishing the School Library.

The children support a number of global charities.
During 2000 they performed in a production of ‘Noah’ alongside the pupils from Bleasdale and St Mary’s School. Proceeds went to ‘Water Aid’.
This year’s say ‘Pants to Poverty’ took the form of a Daytime Sleepover, with pupils and staff attending school in their pyjamas, nightdresses, dressing gowns and slippers.                       Back to Top
