Chipping Welfare Committee

The Chipping and District Voluntary Old Peoples Welfare Committee, known as the Chipping Welfare Committee exists to promote the welfare of the aged in any manner which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable within the parishes of Chipping, Leagram, Little Bowland, Thornley and Chaigley.

What all that really means is we arrange an annual day trip, shopping trips in Summer and at Christmas, Theatre trip in the autumn and a Christmas party in Chipping Village hall in January.

Anyone in the area above who is sixty or over can attend. Couples qualify where only one is over sixty.

The Christmas party has an attendance of over 100 in good years.

We are ALWAYS more than happy to receive donations of cash or prizes for our fundraising bingo nights.
